International law and regional security: the case of the South China Sea dispute

The article aims to examine the relationship between the South China Sea dispute and the security of the Southeast Asia region. The authors apply the concept of international political economy compounded with the theories of international law to construct the conceptual framework of the paper. The article ultimately seeks to assess cumulative effects of the aforesaid dispute on the security of the Southeast Asia region and hoe relevant policies should be planned by ASEAN.
