Adoption in a changing social context from Roman society

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present a perspective on legal development in the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand by studying Roman law which has different forms of adoption in the current social context. The adoption of a child in Roman times was both simple adoption. And complete adoption with both rights and duties that are different the nature of such adoption appears in the Civil and Commercial Code of the ancestors. But such adoption today does not have both characteristics as it did in the Roman times, which could limit the variety of adoption options that affect adoption decisions in today's society.
