The research samples included 30 eleventh grade students in the second semester of the 2020 academic year at Wangkhoi Pittaya School. The research instruments consisted of (1) lesson plans, (2) the conceptual understanding test and (3) the problem solving ability in chemistry test. The hypotheses were tested by t-test for Dependent Samples and t-test for One-Sample.

The results were as follows; (1) students who learned through the chemistry teaching emphasizing the conceptual development with Polya's technique-oriented had post conceptual understanding higher than pre conceptual understanding and the criteria of 60 percent at the .01 level of significance and (2) the students who learned through the chemistry teaching emphasizing the conceptual development with Polya's technique-oriented had post problem solving ability in chemistry higher than pre problem solving ability in chemistry and the criteria of 60 percent at the .01 level of significance.
ER -
