It emphasizes the use of technology in teaching and learning processes to stimulate deep learning and to help learners recognize the true value of education. In the digital age, both instructors and learners must adapt to the design and development of effective learning innovations. Key approaches include using technology to solve problems, developing learning processes, promoting student engagement, and enhancing the quality of learners. These learning innovations should focus on developing the skills and knowledge necessary in today’s world. Innovations in learning management that are widely used can be categorized into various types, such as innovations in educational product media, teaching methods, technology, assessment, and participatory learning. Categorizing these innovations helps instructors choose appropriate tools and strategies to improve the teaching and learning process, especially in the fields of social studies, religion, and culture, thereby creating more quality and effective learning experiences in this digital age.
2024-10-15T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Education Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/edu-rmu/article/view/277225 The Development of Scientific Explanation and Scientific Reasoning by Using Argument-Driven Inquiry in the Topic of Human Homeostasis for Grade 10 Students at Chomsurang Upatham School in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province 2024-09-12T15:52:00+07:00 Phuree Siritharongkeat 628010500105@rmu.ac.th Jurarat Thammaprateep 628010500105@rmu.ac.th Duongdearn Suwanjinda 628010500105@rmu.ac.th
The objectives of this action research were: 1) to develop scientific explanation and scientific reasoning of grade 10 students using argument-driven Inquiry on the topic of human homeostasis and 2) to study the best practices in implementing an argument-driven inquiry for develop scientific explanation and scientific reasoning. The participants were 78 of grade 10 students from two classes in the first semester of the 2024 academic year, selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, and content analysis.

The research finding showed that: 1) after implementing the argument-driven inquiry: (1) students showed improvement in scientific explanations, with 48.71% at a high level and 39.74% at a medium level, (2) students also showed improvement in scientific reasoning with 50.00% at a high level and 38.46% at a medium level. 2) the best practices of argument-driven inquiry derived from this research were the following: (2.1) Using scenario-based questions to guide and encourage students in each group to collaboratively construct key questions, leading to the creation of provisional arguments. This questioning technique helped students develop higher quality of scientific explanations and arguments, (2.2) During the stage of constructing provisional arguments, students first individually presented their reasons, leading to a diversity of arguments. This stage promoted classroom argumentation activities, allowing students to exchange and evaluate each other’s reasoning and (2.3) Joint discussions between teachers and students to better understand each type of reasoning. This understanding had a positive impact on students’ ability to write and present arguments that were consistent with the situation or to construct high-quality scientific explanations.
2024-12-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Education Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/edu-rmu/article/view/275470 The Development of Grade 9 Students’ English Reading Comprehension Ability Through The SQ4R Technique and The Semantic Mapping 2024-10-10T10:32:43+07:00 Panipak Malawai panipak1166@gmail.com Samarn Ekkapim ekka.sama@gmail.com Chaiwat Supakworakul holy_tapaa@hotmail.com
The purposes of this research were to 1) develop students’ English reading comprehension ability by the SQ4R technique and the Semantic Mapping to achieve efficiency based on the criteria 80/80, 2) compare students’ English reading ability before and after using this technique; and 3) study the students’ satisfaction toward the learning technique.
