TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP OF MEDIUM SCHOOL UNDER EDUCATION MINISTRY, THE CHURCH OF CHRIST IN THAILAND

Abstract

            The purposes of this research was to study the level and guidelines for development of Transformational Leadership of medium school under Education Ministry, The Church of Christ in Thailand. The sample group consisted of 12 administrators and 97 teachers using Stratified random sampling. The instrument used in the research was the Rating Scale questionnaire with a consistency. Krejcie & Morgan (1970) index between 0.67-1.00. Reliability was 0.93. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, mean, percentage and standard deviation

            The results showed that the administrators and teachers is their opinions on level of leadership change of the school administrators mean medium schools under Education Ministry, The Church of Christ in Thailand. The overall mean in each aspect was at a good level; administrators (=4.48, SD.=0.60), teachers (=3.81, SD.=0.78) respectively. Classified in descending order; the aspect of ideological influence, inspiration, individual consideration, and intellectual stimulation.

            Guidelines for Development of transformational leadership of school administrators based on the opinions of teachers and school administrators in medium school under Education Ministry, The Church of Christ in Thailand. Were categorized by each aspect, namely, ideological influence; that is, executives should have more vision. The aspect of motivation is that teachers should be inspired by praise. In terms of intellectual stimulation, teachers should be given opportunities to participate in expressing their opinions. On the aspect of taking into account individuality is that tasks should be assigned to suit their abilities an potential.
