Effect of Pharmaceutical Care on Drug Therapy-Related Quality of Life Among Diabetic patients at Charoen Sin Hospital, Sakon Nakhon Province

This study is a quasi-experimental research. Single group pre-test post-test design (Quasi experimental design; One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design) without control group. The objective is to evaluate the effect of pharmaceutical care on drug use problems. blood sugar level Accumulated sugar levels in the blood and results in quality of life from drug use Before and after receiving pharmaceutical care for diabetic patients The sample consisted of 70 patients with type 2 diabetes who received services at the diabetes clinic. Charoensin Hospital Sakon Nakhon Province During January Until December 2022, assess quality of life regarding drug use using a questionnaire. Results: Effects of Pharmaceutical Care Services evaluated the 4th and 1st appointments (period 6 months) and found that the mean number of DRPs and FBS decreased significantly (p-values < 0.05 and < 0.001), but HbA1c decreased not significantly (p-value = 0.380). Scores significantly improving drug therapy-related quality of life were in domain 2: medicine and disease information (p-value < 0.05), domain 3: satisfaction with medication effectiveness (p-value < 0.01), domain 5: psychological impacts (p-value < 0.001), domain 6: convenience (p-value = 0.01), domain 9: overall QoL (p-value < 0.001) and the total score (p-value < 0.001).
