ผลของการให้ความรู้และทักษะการดูแลของผู้ดูแลในครอบครัวต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มติดบ้านในหน่วยบริการโรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพตำบลบ้านไม้หลา

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประเมินผลของการแทรกแซงด้วยการให้ความรู้และฝึกทักษะให้กับผู้ดูแลเพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถในการดูแลที่บ้านและวัดคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มติดบ้าน จากการทดลองสองกลุ่มตัวอย่างในรูปแบบการศึกษาแบบกึ่งทดลอง (quasi-experimental research) การศึกษานี้ใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เข้าร่วมทดลองทั้งหมด 128 ราย เป็นผู้ดูแลและผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มติดบ้าน จำนวนละ 64 ราย ตามลำดับ แบ่งออกเป็นกลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุม จำนวนละ 32 ราย ตามลำดับ การทดลองใช้ระยะเวลา 1 เดือน ประกอบด้วยการอบรมให้ความรู้และการสาธิตทักษะการดูแลแก่ผู้ดูแลทที่บ้านวัดผลก่อนและหลังด้วยแบบประเมินความรู้และทักษะและวัดคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มติดบ้านด้วยเครื่องมือ EQ-5D-5L และ EQ-VAS การศึกษานี้เกิดผลลัพธ์ด้านบวกในกลุ่มทดลอง คือ ผู้ดูแลมีความรู้เพิ่มขึ้น (p < 0.001) และจำนวนผู้ดูแลมีทักษะที่ถูกต้องเพิ่มขึ้น 80% (p < 0.001) นอกจากนี้ คุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มติดบ้านเพิ่มขึ้น (p < 0.001) คือ มีค่า Utility score และค่าคะแนน EQ-VAS เพิ่มขึ้น (p < 0.001) ตามลำดับ
