Development of Blood Sugar control model in Diabetic mellitus type II patients through Community Participation in the Pueinoi District of Khon Kaen Province.

Abstract

     This Study is Action Research.The Research objective is to develop a model of blood sugar control in Diabetic mellitus type II patient through community participation in Puei Noi District, Khonkaen Province.This research procedure is divided into 3 phase : 1. Situation analysis phase 2. Action Phase 3.Evaluation phase.The representative samples consisted of 89 patients with uncontrolled Blood Sugar , Health personal,Caregivers,Stakeholders and 28 community leaders. While the research benefited from quantitative and qualitative data,The data are analyzed by using content analysis and descriptive statistics,including percentage,mean,Standard deviation and p-value

     The results showed that the development of a model for blood pressure control in Diabetic mellitus patients by community participation were as follow 1.Construction of diabetic mellitus type II system in the community facilitated blood sugar control principles according to preventive medicine,Life Style Medicine,Family Medicine and participation of the community 2.Establistment of network partners to improved the quality of life of patients 3.The patients gained knowledge and skills in self-care for Diabetic mellitus type II.The result also HbA1C before improved new Diatic mellitus type II System is 9.02 ± 1.16 % and After New system is 7.54 ± 0.5 % with Significant Statistic. The Diabetic mellitus type II knowledge before new system is 8.85 ± 1.77 points and after new system 14.0 ± 0.86 point with Significant Statistic.
