These divisions and political disagreements have also manifested themselves in countless acts of symbolic expression and material objects of protest, such as hand slappers, whistles, and color-coded clothing. Ever since General Prayut Chan-ocha staged a coup on 22 August 2014 under the name of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), material objects have continued to play an important role in protests and expressions of dissent. This paper aims to explore objects used in protests and political resistance in Thai society. It is divided into three parts. The first part explores object concepts related to protest resistance and disobedience. The second part examines objects of protest from 2006 to the 2014 coup. The third part examines objects of resistance after the 2014 coup up to 2020. The paper reveals that the landscape of Thai social movements has truly changed. Thus, resistance is expressed through the base of visual culture, both in the digital world and material space.</p> ER -
