The participants were 24 students in grade 6 from a small school. The instruments used in this research include lesson plans, the learning reflection form, the mathematical reasoning observation form, worksheets and the mathematical literacy test. The data were analyzed by using content analysis and analytic scoring. The results revealed four instructional guidelines including, preparation before and during the classroom management, using questions to stimulate students’ thinking and understanding of mathematical concepts during the classroom, creating and enhancing students’ participation in information exchange and discussion in the classroom, and conclusion by linking mathematical concepts to the activities in the classroom.&nbsp; In addition, after the instruction, 50 percent of students were able to explain the reasoning for representation of a given situation at a good level. and in solving mathematical problems 58.33 percent of students had a good level of thinking about problem situations in mathematics, 62.50 percent of students able to used mathematical principles and processes in problem solving had a fair level, and found that 54.17 percent of students had a fair level of interpretation and evaluation of mathematical results.</p>}, number={4}, journal={Journal of Buddhist Education and Research}, author={อาจหาญ จุรีรัตน์ and นกแก้ว อาทร}, year={2024}, month={Mar.}, pages={179–192} }
