The quarterly time series data were collected from Q1/2005 to Q4/2019 in total 60 quarters and analyzed by using Eviews multiple regression model. Six independent variables in this study include minimum loan rate, unemployment rate, consumer price index, commercial banks' deposits, the amount of non-performing loan and exchange rate.</p><p>The statistical results indicated that the business loan amounts of commercial banks in Thailand was affected by consumer price index and commercial banks' deposits in the same direction and unemployment rate in the opposite direction statistically significant at the level of 0.05. The study suggests that commercial banks should prepare for the growth of business loan amounts by reserving sufficient deposit, focusing on their liquidity and the movement of economic variables in order to maintain their revenue and profit growth.</p> ER -
