The research method was divided into 2 steps: Step 1 was the study of needs for student affairs in small schools. The sample group used in this research consisted of school administrators and teachers taken responsibility in guidance under Khon Kaen Primary Education Service Area Office 5, with the total number of 329 people. The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire about the current situation and the desirable condition for student affairs administration in small schools. The statistics used in the research comprised mean, percentage, standard deviation and PNI modified index. Step 2 was a study of guidelines for student affairs administration in small schools. The target group used in the research included school administrators and teachers in 3 schools with best practice, with the total number of 6 people. The research instrument was an individual interview and the data were analyzed by using content analysis.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </strong><strong>The research results were found that:</strong></p><ol><li>The needs for student affairs administration in small schools under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 5 ranked according to the most importance were guidance, student activities, governing work and student welfare, respectively.</li><li>Guidelines for student affairs administration in small schools under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 5 consisted of 4 aspects as follows: 1) Guidance work consisted of 13 administrative guidelines. 2) Student activities consisted of 12 administrative guidelines. 3) Governing work consisted of 8 administrative guidelines. 4) Student consisted of 7 administrative guidelines.</li></ol> ER -
