However, few studies investigate how CPS skills are developed in science classrooms. Therefore, this research examines students’ learning and their CPS development through the Biomimicry STEM approach. CPS skills were evaluated through a CPS questionnaire, a student behavior observation form, teacher’s reflective journals and students’ reflective journals. The results show that students’ CPS levels tended to be higher, especially in the aspect of monitoring and repairing the shared understanding (D1). The results also indicated three key features of Biomimicry STEM as follows; 1) Defining complex situations and clear criteria encouraged students to plan their operations and perspective the abilities of group members, 2) Presenting examples of innovations that inspiration from nature can help expand the perspective of identifying and explaining the workload that needs to be accomplished more, and 3) Questioning, encouraging, and sharing reflection activities in the room help to promote the process of tracking and reflecting students' opinions.
2023-09-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Education and Innovative Learning https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jeil/article/view/263573 Result of Utilizing Mobile Learning and Task-Based Learning for Developing English Reading Competency in Secondary Year 5 Students 2023-05-16T17:00:19+07:00 Arinchaya Boonprasan [email protected] Chanathip Baiya [email protected] Boonrat Plangsorn [email protected]
The objectives of this research were 1) to compare learning achievement between mobile learning with task-based learning for English reading competency development and traditional learning, and 2) to examine the satisfaction of students using mobile learning with task-based learning for English reading competency development. The sample group consisted of 81 Secondary Year 5 Students in the second semester of the academic year 2022, selected through purposive sampling. The tools used in this research included 1) experimental tools, such as a lesson plan incorporating mobile learning with task-based learning for English reading competency development, a lesson plan and mobile learning lessons, and 2) data collection tools, including a test to measure English reading competency and a satisfaction questionnaire. The research found that 1) the learning achievement of students who used mobile learning with task-based learning for English reading competency development was significantly higher than that of students who learned through traditional methods at a statistically significant level of .05, and 2) the overall satisfaction level of students who used mobile learning with task-based learning for English reading competency development was found to be very high.
2023-09-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Education and Innovative Learning https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jeil/article/view/264147 The Development of Online Learning using Self-directed Learning to Enhance English Communicative Skills for Pre-service Teachers 2023-06-04T12:52:37+07:00 Nithiporn Satapornpisittana [email protected] Karanphon Wiwanthamongkon [email protected] Pornchai Nookaew [email protected] Chitnarong Iamsamang [email protected]
The aims this research were to: 1) develop and find the efficiency of an online learning using self-directed learning to criterion of 80/80. 2) compare before and after of learning outcome on online learning using self-directed learning. And 3) study the pre-service teachers’ learning satisfaction. The sample group was 50 pre-service teachers at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University in the second semester of academic year 2022 by volunteer basis. The research instruments were an online learning platform using self-directed learning, English communicative skills test, and learning satisfaction assessment form. The statistics used this research were mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent. The findings were: 1) the efficiency of an online learning using self-directed learning equal 81.10/81.15 according the criterion of 80/80. 2) the pre-service teachers achievement in English communicative skills after learning was higher than before learning at the statistically significant level .01 and 3) the pre-service teachers’ learning satisfaction were at the highest level.
2023-09-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Education and Innovative Learning https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jeil/article/view/264975 The Development of Underhand Skill Ability in Volleyball Subject for Grade 10 Students by Using the Underhand Skill Training Exercise in Learning Management 2023-07-18T17:13:01+07:00 Werathep Chaichana [email protected] Kanchana Chanprasert [email protected]
The purposes of this research were to study 1) ability of Underhand Skill from the number of underhand before and after using the underhand training exercise and compare with gender, and 2) the satisfaction of the underhand passes training exercise. The 40 Grade 10 students were a simple random sampling group. The research tools were (1) lesson plans with the underhand training exercise and Russell (2) Krongvist and Brumbach Achievement Test of underhand passes for boys were accuracy .767, reliability .817 and Russell and Lange Achievement Test of underhand for girls were an accuracy of .80, with reliability .915 and (3) the satisfaction questionnaires of the underhand training exercise that IOC were between 0.67 to 1.00. The results showed that 1) the number of underhand before and after using the underhand training exercise and gender were significant at .01. The means of the underhand number of boys before training and after training were 5.72 and 27.20, respectively. The means of underhand number of girls before training and after training were 3.47 and 16.80, respectively. And 2) the means of students’ satisfaction of the underhand training exercise were 4.31. There is a systematic trial and test of performance. Finally, it became a recognized innovation and could be applied to the development of a quality education system. By creating an educational organization as an educational innovation organization, administrators play a key role in defining and directing the organization's direction to achieve its goals. There are elements associated with professional leadership, have a vision that is ready for change, flexible organizational structure and mechanisms for free exchange of learning and developing teachers and educational personnel to be able to successfully innovate to become educational innovators. Therefore, the elements and mechanisms for the development of Thai educational institutions to the international level are due to the innovative leadership of executives, educational institutions have a conducive atmosphere for innovation, including teachers and staff with innovative habits to create an organization of educational innovation with the potential to compete and create added value for Thai educational agencies towards internationalization.
2023-09-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Education and Innovative Learning https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jeil/article/view/262965 Constructivism in Micro-learning: New Learning Approaches in the Contemporary World 2023-06-04T12:53:30+07:00 Phusanisa Ngampolkrung [email protected] Pattarawarin Kruasom [email protected] Boonrat Plangsorn [email protected]
Micro-learning is a media-based learning approach that utilizes short content segments of approximately 3-5 minutes. This learning style, suitable for today's world, caters to learners who focus on specific areas of study. Moreover, micro-learning provides a flexible medium, as students can learn independently through online channels. This article aims to equip readers with knowledge about micro-learning, promote contemporary learning strategies, and provide insight into future micro-learning trends. Furthermore, the article proposes a micro-learning design based on constructivist theory to pique student interest in the lessons. The development of a micro-teaching model based on constructivist theory can be applied across various subject areas. However, before implementing the model, instructors must analyze the content to ascertain the purpose of implementing the constructivist theory micro-learning model through online media and whether their teaching style is suitable. Additionally, the model must be adapted to the school environment, given that each school's environment is unique.
2023-09-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Education and Innovative Learning
