Evaluation of Active Learning Training Project in Satree Phangnga School

Abstract

This article aimed to evaluate 1. Reaction 2. Learning 3. Behavior of teachers participated in Training Project for Active Learning and 4. Organizational outcome. Population consisted of 45 teachers from Satree Phangnga School. Tools for evaluation composed of satisfaction form, knowledge assessment, attitude test, and observation form. Statistics for evaluation included Mean, Standard Deviation, and t-test. It was found that 1. Reaction, the level of satisfaction from participated teachers was at high level. 2. Learning, the score of participated teachers after the training was higher than the score before the training at significance value of .05 and teachers had attitude toward Active Learning at high level. 3. Behavior, teachers organized learning in accordance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/learning outcome and learning objectives. Lesson plan consisted of complete and relevant components. Assignments/Work related to learning objectives, introductory activities before lesson were interesting, various, and stimulating for students. It enabled students to accumulate self-learning, focus on learning through practical action, solve problems, apply knowledge, and emphasize high level thinking. Teachers created and developed materials and innovation to enhance learning, build friendly learning environment, open room for opinion, assess and evaluate actual learning outcome, and inform the assessment result with feedback and 4. Organizational outcome revealed that students gained higher average academic performance in semester 1 of academic year 2021 than in semester 1 of academic year 2020 in every learning content.
