The Study of Relationship Between Leadership and the Effectiveness of Small School Under the Secondary Education Service Area Office Bangkok 1

Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1) Study the leadership of small school administrators under the secondary education service area office Bangkok 1 2) Study the effectiveness of the administration of small schools under the secondary education service area office Bangkok 1 and 3) study the relationship between Leadership and Management Effectiveness of Small Schools under the secondary education service area office Bangkok 1. This research is a quantitative research. An example is teachers of small schools. There were 195 persons under the secondary education service area office Bangkok 1. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The result of the study were 1) leadership of small school under the secondary education service area office bangkok 1 overall there were behaviors expressed at a high level (=3.81). Each aspect was explored and Supportive Leadership was found to be at high level (=3.92), followed by Success-oriented leadership (=3.81). Nevertheless, Participatory leadership accounted for the lowest mean score (=3.73). 2) administrative effectiveness of small schools under the secondary education service area office bangkok 1 overall there were succes expressed at a moderately good level (=3.24). Each aspect was explored and the ability to solve problems within the school was found to be at high level (=3.31), followed by the ability to develop students to have a positive attitude (=3.27). Nevertheless, the ability to produce high-achieving students accounted for the lowest mean score (=3.15). 3) leadership was moderately positively correlated with management effectiveness of small schools under the secondary education service area office bangkok 1 (r=0.642) with a statistical significance at the .05 level.
