A Comparison of Learning Achievement in Thai Language Subject on the Spelling Section of Grade 4 Students at Suraosaikongdin School by Using Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) Lessons With Normal Teaching

Abstract

The objective of this research was to  Create Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI)
on the Spelling Section for Grade 4 students to be effective according to the 80/80 
to compare the achievement. The Thai language course of students who are taught using computer-assisted instruction (CAI) lessons with normal teaching and to study the students' satisfaction with teaching by using Computer Assisted Instruction. The sample group used in this research was Grade 4 students in the first semester of the academic year 2022 Suraosaikongdin School by a simple random method with the method
of drawing lots for 2 rooms, which received the experimental group are 30 students in Grade 4/1.The control group consisted of 30 students in grade 4/4. The research tool was Computer Assisted Instruction , lesson plan using Computer Assisted Instruction and normal teaching , Academic Achievement Test , Questionnaire on the satisfaction of students towards teaching by using computer-assisted instruction. The data were analyzed using averages. Standard deviation and t-test independent Samples. The results of the research revealed that 1) Computer assisted instruction (CAI). The efficiency value is 84.33/84.11. which meets the specified 80/80 efficiency criteria. 2) Academic achievement of students who were taught using Computer Assisted Instruction. The achievement after studying was higher than the students who had with normal teaching. statistically significant at the .05 level 3) Grade 4 students who teach using Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) on the Spelling Section. Satisfaction was at a high level. (=2.85,SD=0.36)
