Selection of the Wherehouse Location and Distribution Center for Durian Products in Chumphon Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1. to study the important factors in selecting the suitable location for the establishment of durian storage and distribution in Chumphon Province; set appropriate in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the case study factory, this research uses a quantitative method by collecting data from a specific sample of 9 peoples using the Expert Choice package to analyze multi-criteria decision making. It is based on the now popular Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and is a competent and easy-to-understand method for making decisions that use both measurable data and decision-makers. That is, multiple criterion variables can be used to make decisions that are related to both objective and subjective decision criteria. The results of the research revealed the factors that are important in choosing a suitable location for the establishment of storage and distribution of durian in Chumphon province. The criteria used for decision-making consist of Sources of raw materials and natural resources, labor resources, transportation costs, facilities, customer resources, laws, rules and regulations, funding sources, construction budgets, environment, and priorities in choosing a location. It is appropriate to establish a warehouse and distribution of durian in Chumphon Province. Sorted in descending order as follows: 1) Raw Materials and Natural Resources, 2) Labor Resources, 3) Transportation expenses, 4) Facilities, 5) Customer Sources, 6) Laws, Rules, and Regulations, 7) Source of Funds, 8) Construction budget, and 9) Environment.
