The Effect of Innovation Management and its Antecedents on Perceived Organizational Performance in Logistics Industry in Thailand

In this dissertation, the researcher investigates the effects of management innovation and its antecedents on corporate performance in the logistics industry in Thailand. The research methodology for qualitative data employed the technique of in-depth interview with nine key informants. Quantitative data were collected from 473 personnel in the logistics industry in Thailand using a questionnaire. The statistics used in data analysis was structural equation modeling (SEM) with a computer program. Findings showed that a learning organization exhibited positive effects on a powerful team, competitiveness, and management innovation. The powerful team exhibited positive effects on competitiveness but exhibited no direct effects on management innovation. Competitiveness exhibited positive effects on management innovation. Management innovation exhibited positive effects on corporate performance. Important findings from this research are the following. The effects of management innovation and its antecedents result in better corporate performance. Entrepreneurs can apply them to foster competitiveness and to increase performance efficiency and effectiveness in order to grow and survive in critical situations.
