A Comparison of Science Academic Achievement on the topic of Genetic Transformation of Living Things of Primary Fifth Students by Using Electronic Book and Using Textbook

The purpose of this research are (1) to build and assess the effectiveness of Primary 5 by using e-Book according to the criteria 80/80. (2) To compare the academic achievement of Science on the topic of Genetic Transformation of Living things of Primary 5 between using e-Book and textbook. The sample groups used in this research were Primary 5 students at Surao Sai Kong Din School which have been divided into 2 groups, in the first semester of the academic year 2022. The experimental group consisted of 36 students of Primary 5/5 using e-Book, and the control group consisted of 36 students of Primary 5/4 using textbook used as Simple Random Sampling. The research instruments included (1) e-book of Heredity characteristics of Living things; (2) lesson plans on the topic of Genetic Transformation of Living thing by using e-Book; (3) lesson plans on the topic of Genetic Transformation of Living thing by using textbook; and (4) achievement tests of Genetic Transformation of Living thing with the reliability of 0.76, using Randomized control-group, Pretest-Posttest Design. The statistics used for data analysis were Mean , Standard Deviation (S.D.), and Independent Samples T-test. The research results were found that (1) the e-book of Heredity characteristics of Living things had an efficiency equal to 80/80 which is criteria. (2) The academic achievement of Science on the topic of Genetic Transformation of Living thing of Primary 5 between using e-Book was significantly higher than using textbook at the .05 level.
