Influence of 5S activities on cost reduction from wastage of community products, Phan District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study influence of 5S activities on cost reduction from wastage of community products, Phan District, Chiang Rai Province. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. The population is Community Product Group in Mae Lao District The sample was calculated using Taro Yamane's formula (Silpjaru, T., 2018). Number of samples 120 cases. It was found that 5S activities influenced the cost reduction from the wastage of the lean process of community products, Phan District, Chiang Rai Province. With an influence value of 0.31 with a statistically significant level of 0.05. The results of the research resulted in a method to reduce costs in a rational way, which can be used to promote and develop further to reduce the cost of products from lean processes, both monetary and non-monetary.
