Abstract

Local government management started from the reign of King Chulalongkorn. King Rama V, whose royal initiative was to restore government level The original village was rebuilt because he saw that this level of government was necessary and important in the administration of the country. because it is the government unit closest to the people by having an experiment to organize the administration of sub-districts and villages in Bang Pa-in District Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province in R.E. 111 (BE 2435), with the people choosing the village headman instead of being appointed by the governor as before. Villages in various districts, enacted as the Local Governing Act, R.E. 116. Later, in the reign of King Rama VI, the Local Governing Act, B.E. 2457 came into force instead. and has been used continually to the present for the village headman to administer justice and maintain order and safety for the people in the village
