Abstract

The objective of this research was (1) to study service users' travel behaviors, service users' safety and compare service users' safety level of Southern Railway (Bangkok - Nakhon Si Thammarat). The samples consisted of 400 train travelers by collecting data with questionnaire and analyzing data by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation; and Independent t-test and One-way ANOVA. The research results found that (1) Most of samples wanted to travel in the morning (05.00-11.00) with average travel expenses about 501-800 baht which they often travelled alone (2) An opinion on service users' safety of Southern Railway (Bangkok - Nakhon Si Thammarat) at high-level overview. (3) Comparison of average service users with different age, status and income had different opinions on service users’ safety of Southern Railway (Bangkok – Nakhon Si Thammarat) and passengers who had different purpose of choosing the service, travel period, travel expenses, traveling members and traveling groups had different opinions on service users’ safety of Southern Railway (Bangkok – Nakhon Si Thammarat)
