Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to study the current conditions, desirable expectations, and needs for digital leadership development of school administrators under the Office of Suphanburi Primary Educational Service Area 1 and 2) to propose guidelines for the development of digital leadership of school administrators under the Office of Suphanburi Primary Educational Service Area 1. This study employed a descriptive research approach. Data were collected from 144 samples who were educational institute administrators using a five-point scale questionnaire. The statistics used in the data analysis included frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. In addition, the semi-structured interviews were also conducted among 5 samples who were policy-level executives, school administrators, and education supervisors. Data were analyzed based upon the content analysis and finding the adjusted Priority Needs Index (PNI modified). The research findings showed that the current conditions and the overall desirable expectations of the samples were at a high level. The aspects with the highest mean were having vision and skills in digital technology. In addition, it was found that the highest needs were having vision and digital technology skills with an index value (PNI modified= 0.076). The guidelines for the development of the digital leadership development of school administrators included creating a school vision that supports the digital leadership development, supporting the use of digital technology in work, managing digital technology systematically, and using digital technology to improve the management measurement and evaluation of all four departments.
