The Effect of Collaborative Learning Management with STAD Technique Combined with Online Lessons Using Google Sites on the Topic of Computer Systems to Critical Thinking Skills of Grade 8 Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the effectiveness of collaborative learning management with STAD technique combined with online lessons using Google Sites with efficiency criteria at 80/80, 2) to compare students' analytical thinking skills before and after conducting the class with the STAD technique combined with cooperative learning and online lessons using Google Sites, 3) to study students' satisfaction with the STAD technique combined with cooperative learning and online lessons using Google Sites. The 42 students used in this research were grade 8 students in the first semester of the academic year 2022, Suksasongkrohbangkruai school, Office of special education administration. The sample group used in this research was 20 students in grade 8/2 selected by using a simple sampling method (Sample Random Sampling). The research instruments included 1) online lessons using Google Sites, 2) learning management plans combined with the STAD technique, 3) the test to measure analytical thinking skills, and 4) satisfaction assessment questionnaire. Analyzing the lessons' efficiency by measuring the E1/E2 value, comparing students' analytical thinking skills before and after their learning by using a t-test dependent statistic, and analyzing students' satisfaction by measuring the mean, percentage, and standard deviation. The results of this research were 1) the learning management with STAD technique combined with online lessons using GoogleSites under the topic of Computer Systems had an efficiency at 81.53/81.39, 2) student post-test analytical thinking skills is higher than their pre-test, significantly at the lever of .005, and 3) students were satisfied with the learning management with STAD technique combined with online lessons using Google Sites under the topic of Computer Systems at the high level ( =4.42, S.D.=0.51).
