Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study leadership characteristics of educational institution administrators of private schools, Narathiwat Province; 2)study national standard for early childhood care, development and education of private schools, Narathiwat Province; 3) study the relationship between leadership characteristics of educational institution administrators and national standard for early childhood care, development and education of private schools, Narathiwat Province. The samples in the research included 297 administrators and teachers at private schools in Narathiwat Province. The instrument used was a questionnaire, with the reliability of 0.937. IOC was set between 0.67-1.00. The statistics for data analysis included percentage, mean, SD, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.  The results revealed as follows. 1) Overall leadership characteristics of educational institution administrators of private schools, Narathiwat Province, was high. 2)Overall national standard for early childhood care, development and education of private schools, Narathiwat Province, was high. And 3) regarding the relationship between leadership characteristics of educational institution administrators and national standard for early childhood care, development and education of private schools, Narathiwat Province, it was found statistically significant (p < .01) and very high positive correlation (rxy = 0.846).
