The Music Rendition of Musical Instruments in Thai, Lao and Khmer Piphat Ensemble

This research article aims to analyze the music rendition of Thai, Lao and Khmer Piphat Ensemble by using qualitative research methods. By working in the field in Thailand, Cambodia and Lao PDR in collecting data on Thai flute ensembles, namely Ranat Ek, Ranat Thum, Khong Wong Yai, Khong Wong Lek, Khmer Phin Band, Ranat Ek, Ranat Thung, Khong Wong Thom, Khong Wong To and the Lao Phin Band consisting of Mrs. Nadek. Mrs Natthum, Gong Wong Yai and Gong Wong Lek. The music used in the study of the melody conversion was the song Sathukan. research results 1. The melody characteristics of the Thai Piphat, the Khmer Piphat and the Lao Piphat are similar. The melody will take the form of the main melody of the musical instruments, namely Gong Wong Yai (Laos), Gong Wong Yai (Laos) and Gong Wong Yai (Laos), taking into account the relationship of falling, fruit, vocals and toi sounds in the melody. that the melodies of other musical instruments have the same playing style, namely shuffled verses, jumbled verses, and chains of poems as well It can be seen clearly from the melody of Ranat Ek, Ranat Ek and heroine. 2.
