The development of English speaking skills by using the Cooperative learning technique for grade 9 students in Prankrataipittayakom, Kamphaengphet

Abstract

The objectives of research were to 1) develop student’s speaking skills by using cooperative learning technique according to Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) level A2  2) to study satisfaction of student toward develop of speaking skills by using cooperative learning technique. The sample used in study was 35 Mattayomsuksa 3/2 students of 2nd semester in 2021 at Prankrataipittayakom School, Kamphaengphet Province, which was cluster random sampling. The instruments of this study were 6 lesson plans with cooperative learning techniques. The instruments for evaluation of this study were speaking test which an assessment 5 rubrics 1. Grammar 2. Pronunciation 3. Vocabulary 4. Interaction and communication 5. Fluency and satisfaction questionnaires. The data were analyzed by using means, standard deviation, and t-test. After using by using cooperative learning techniques develop student’s speaking skill, the results showed that the student’s speaking skills by using cooperative learning technique according to Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) in level A2 and the student’s satisfaction towards the develop of speaking skills by using cooperative learning technique was at high levels of satisfaction.
