Personnel Development Operations of Secondary Schools in Satun Province Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Songkhla Satun

Abstract

The research aimed to study the implementation of personnel development of secondary schools in Satun Province under the Secondary Education Service Area Office, Songkhla, Satun. The population of the study was 230 teachers in secondary schools in Satun Province under the Secondary Education Service Area Office, Songkhla, Satun in the academic year 2022. To gather data, questionnaire, and interview research methods were utilized. Data obtained were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Independent Sample t-test. The results of the study were: 1) The overall implementation of personnel development of secondary schools in Satun Province under the Secondary Education Service Area Office, Songkhla, Satun was at a high level when considering each aspect separately in descending order; teamwork, training or workshop, field trips, orientation, job rotation, and academic conferences. 2) The comparison of the implementation of personnel development of secondary schools in Satun Province under the Secondary Education Service Area Office, Songkhla, Satun varied by genders, education levels, working experiences, and the size of schools overall was no difference. 3) The recommended operational guidelines for the implementation of personnel development of secondary schools in Satun Province under the Secondary Education Service Area Office, Songkhla, Satun were: to plan for the use of technologies and innovation associated with the field trips to gather information quickly and accurately, to rotate the duties and positions of personnel by the school resolutions based on scheduled rotation or the right occasion.
