The Effects of a Training Program of Active Learning with Coaching Towards Knowledge and Instructional Exercises Abilities of Students Teacher

Abstract

          This research aimed to compare the students' skills training knowledge before and after participating in the active learning concept training program with coaching and after the set criteria and student skill exercises with specified criteria. The sample group used in the research was 16 students from the Graduate Diploma Program in Teaching Profession: Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University by simple randomization. The research instruments were: 1) a training program based on active learning combined with coaching, 2) a skill-building knowledge test, and 3) a skill-building ability assessment questionnaire, which the researcher created. The data were statistically analyzed using percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and t-tests.

          The results of the study were as follows:

  1. The students' knowledge of creating skill exercises after participating in the training program based on active learning combined with coaching was higher than before and higher than the criterion (80 %) at.05 levels of significance.
  2. The ability to create practice skills for students after participating in the training program based on active learning with coaching was significantly higher than the criterion (80 %) at a .05 level of significance.
  3. The students who studied with the student-created skills practice media had learning achievement higher than the set criteria at 70%.
