People's Participation in Community Development of Lat Ya Municipality

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to study the people's participation in community development of Lat Ya Municipality and 2) to study factors related to level of people's participation in community development of Lat Ya Municipality Such factors included gender, age, status, educational level, income, occupation. The sample consisted of 373 persons. Data were collected by questionnaire. Statistical tool for data analysis were Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test and One- ay ANOVA at the .05 level of significance. The results of the study were as follow: the overall level of the people’s participation in plan to develop the sub-district were high. The result of comparison found that differences of gender, age, status, education, occupation, and income affected to the people’s participation in plan to develop the sub-district rate. Lat Ya sub-district did not affect people’s participation in plan to develop the sub-district rate.
