The Transformational Leadership of Students for Chinese Students of the Qujing Normal University of Yunnan Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the transformational leadership of Chinese students, 2) to compare the transformational leadership of Chinese students at Qujing Normal University, Qujing City, Yunnan Province by using quantitative research methodology. The subjects were 263 Chinese undergraduate students, 1st to 4th year, who were selected using the simple random sampling method. The research tool was a 5-point rating scale questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA analysis of variance.49. The results of the research revealed that 1) the transformational leadership of the Chinese students at Qujing Normal University was in a good level in all aspects. 2) The factor related to gender was found to have no impact on the transformational leadership of Chinese students in all four aspects with the statistical significance level at .05. The servant leadership and the actual leadership were different with a statistical significance level at .05. Lastly, it was found that the level of the transformative leadership of Chinese students majoring in the creative leadership, spiritual leadership, and actual leadership was different with a statistical significance level at .05.
