A Study of Factors Affecting Burnout of Teachers Under The Office of Bangkok Secondary Education Service Area 2

The purpose of this research is to study burnout factors including 1) personal status 2) physical condition 3) nature of work 4) Individuals relationship and 5) administrative systems relating to burnout syndrome among teachers under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2 which were 1) emotional exhaustion 2) poor interrelationship and 3) failure at work. The sample, selected by probability sampling, consists of 378 teachers under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2. Data was collected using a 5-scale rating which has a questionnaire consistency index between 0.80 - 1.00 questionnaire with the reliability value of .914. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results shown that 1. Factors relating to burnout syndrome among teachers under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2 were in high level. Physical condition had the highest level followed by individuals relationship. An administrative system had the lowest level. 2. The burnout syndrome among teachers under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2 was in high level. Emotional exhaustion had the highest level followed by failure at work. Poor interrelationship had the lowest level. 3. Factors relating to burnout syndrome among teachers under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2 showed that the overall factors and each aspect factors were statistically significant at the level 0.01
