Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study operational process and difficulties of teacher advisors; develop teacher advisor for integrated school; assess the suitability and feasibility of teacher advisor manual for integrated school under Sukhothai primary educational service area office 2. This research applies mixed research methodologies. The informant group used for phase 1 were school principals and teachers working in integrated schools, parent and school committee. Total of 12 people selected by purposive sampling. Phase 2 The informant group used were Promotion of Educational Provision group director, school principals and teacher who’s got The Student support system award and teacher advisor. Total of 10 people selected by purposive sampling.  Phase 3 the sample group were 30 school principal and teacher advisor working in integrated schools selected by simple random sampling. The research tools were interviews, focus group discussion and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The results showed that 1) The operation of problems of integrated school advisor teachers in Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 according to the components of The Student Counseling System. First, knowing individual students were there’s no form or handbook to collect information as the same form of 2 school, Parents did not provide complete student information, The student's former advisor does not pass on the student's information to the new advisor and difficulty in document storage. Second, screening students were parents do not participate in screening students, there is no manual on student screening and parents of children with learning disabilities do not consent to expert examinations to identify students with special needs. Third, student promoting and developing were parents do not participate in finding ways to organize student development activities, students are unable to adapt or self-control and the school does not have a clear calendar of events. Forth, preventing and solving student problems were the school does not have a manual on preventing and resolving student problems and teachers cannot contact parents to solve student problems. Fifth, transferring student were The school does not have manuals or guidelines for transferring students, parents and school committees do not understand the referral process and parents do not cooperate in referring students. 2) The development of teacher advisor manual for integrated school under Sukhothai primary educational service area office 2 according to the components of The Student Counseling System. Got a teacher's advisor manual with details, content and practical guidelines in 7 chapters: chapter 1 Student Support System, Chapter 2 Teacher Advisor, Chapter 3 Knowing Students Individually, Chapter 4 Student Screening, Chapter 5 Supporting and developing students, Chapter 6 Preventing and resolving student problems, Chapter 7 Referring students and an appendix contains operational tools for teacher advisor according to the components of the student support system. 3) The result of the evaluation of the appropriateness of the combined school advisory teacher's manual at a high level.
