ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE ELDERLY IN LINE WITH BUDDHISM

Abstract

Older persons are of great value, potentiality and important social position and they serve as a meter for modernization of society. They are limited their age of retirement at the age of sixty years and beyond. It is true that they have decayed by nature and have a nature of weak strength, slowness and sickness. They, however, have to be looked after and given a support. We have to realize that we have to enhance their life quality in all physical, mental and social aspects by providing them with knowledge and understanding in their food, physical exercise, spiritual development , as well as tidy and clean house with good environments.
