Model of Buddhist Management Child Development Center Local Administration Organizations In Chainat Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the status of management of the Child Development Center under the local administration organizations in Chainat Province, 2) to make the Buddhist management model of the Child Development Center under the local administration organizations in Chainat Province, and 3) to evaluate the Buddhist management model of the Child Development Center under the local administration organizations in Chainat Province. This research applied the Mixed Methods Research having 3 steps: 1) studying the status of management of the Child Development Center under the local administration organizations in Chainat Province from 18 key informants with the Semi-structured Interviews and the content analysis for the data analysis, 2) making the Buddhist management model of the Child Development Center from 9 key informants with the focus group discussion and the content analysis for the data analysis, and 3) evaluating the Buddhist management model of the Child Development Center from 15 key informants with the evaluation forms consisting of 4 dimensions: the evaluation of correctness, appropriateness, practicality, and utility. The statistics used mean and standard deviation.

The research results were as follow:

1. The status of management of the Child Development Center under the local administration organizations in Chainat Province consisted of 6 aspects: 1) the management of the Child Development Center planned the guidelines for the strategic and policy administration of the Child Development Center in the standard of the implementation of the Child Development Center, 2) the personnel had the personnel management in the standard,  systematically and teamwork, and participated in planning and the implementation of the Child Development Center, 3) the building, environment and safety of the Child Development Center gave the importance in the building construction and renovation, and provided the townscape and environment suitable and safe to the children, 4) the academic and curriculum-based activity considered the life way of the children in the context of the society, community, tradition, culture and the local wisdom with focusing on the children, 5) the participation and support set the form, guideline and method of strengthening, promoting and supporting for the cooperation of  the Child Development Center, parents and the community, and 6) the promotion of the early childhood development network made the network in Sub-District, District and Province as the learning source and exchanging the opinion in the early childhood development.

1. The Buddhist management model of the Child Development Center under the local administration organizations in Chainat Province had 6 models consisting of 1) the management of the Child Development Center, 2) the personnel, 3) the Building, environment and safety of the Child Development Center, 4) the academic and curriculum-based activity, 5) the participation and support, and 6) the promotion of the Early Childhood development network.
2.  The evaluation of the Buddhist management model of the Child Development Center under the local administration organizations in Chainat Province in 4 dimensions: the evaluation of correctness, appropriateness, practicality and utility showed that it was at the highest level.
