However,the study of courts declined with the coming of the behavioral revolution. In the late twentieth century, there has been a considerable amount of new work on the role of courts in democratization and democratic consolidation. Comparative judicial politics as a subfield of comparative politics deals with courts, constitutional judges, and the judicial review process.
