In the mainstream discourse, it is suggested that voting values are distinctly different between urban and rural areas. The paper examines the opinions of Maha Sarakham Province residents regarding factors leading to voting behavior and vote buying. The research found that the most important factor determining one’s vote is the personal characters of the candidates and parties’<br>policies. The subjects of this study command themselves to vote with no other external interference. They do not conform to vote buying.
