The research methodology focused on qualitative methods, using interview and focus group accompanied by questionnaire to evaluate challenges of the inspection system. The results showed that the Integrated Public Service Inspection system plays the most active role in consulting and mentoring. However, there remained critical problems such as fragmented structure of inspection units, a lack of sufficient experience and knowledge of some inspection personnel, collaboration among inspection agencies throughout the inspection process, and database used for inspection system and public communication. For initial recommendations, there should be personnel development according to core and functional competency, improvement of the inspection process, and an inspection standard and inspection guideline. In addition, the system needs to be transformed for long term development with a review of the role of<br>the Integrated Public Service Inspection system (re-think), design of a new organization structure (re-design), creation of new instruments (re-tool), and development and re-training of personnel (re-train).</p> ER -
