In this aspect, the problem found is the ability to consider perception, especially the issue of communication ethics that affects the perception of the message, which may have a negative effect on the understanding of knowledge, thoughts, and behavior in the broad picture. From this study, it was found that the major problem of digital media perception is caused by the lack of integration of communication ethics ideas to be applied systematically. It is also possible to create guidelines for developing digital media perception that are beneficial to society and make message recipients confident in the principles of communication ethics if cooperation is sought from all social sectors that intend to realize the value of communication ethics in the digital age.

ตรัยรัตน์ ปลื้มปิติชัยกุล Copyright (c) 2025 https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/mcjou/article/view/288257 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 AWAKENING FROM LOSS: SYNTHESIZING MODERN PSYCHOLOGY AND THE BUDDHA’S TEACHINGS IN THE LIFE OF PATACARA https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/mcjou/article/view/288260
This article analyzes the life of Patacara Theri, a disciple of the Buddha who transformed profound suffering from the loss of her family into enlightenment, through the lenses of modern psychology and Buddhist teachings. Her losses are interpreted as "Complex Trauma" and "Acute Stress Disorder" addressed by the Buddha’s interventions such as grounding techniques and mindfulness guidance. Cognitive reframing and acceptance facilitated her understanding of the impermanence of the five aggregates (khandhas), as reflected in the Buddha’s teaching, leading to post-traumatic growth (PTG) and her role in supporting others. The synthesis reveals that modern psychology provides tools for healing, while Buddhism offers a path to liberation. The discussion highlights similarities and differences between the two disciplines, such as psychology’s focus on the present versus Buddhism’s emphasis on impermanence. Findings suggest that suffering serves as a bridge to spiritual development when guided appropriately. The study underscores the value of integrating these approaches and suggests future research, such as comparing other Buddhist cases with psychological frameworks.
สุรัตน์ หารวย Copyright (c) 2025 https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/mcjou/article/view/288260 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 A MIND OVERWHELMED: PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERPRETATION OF ANGULIMALA AND THE POWER OF THE BUDDHA’S WORDS, 'I HAVE STOPPED, WHEN WILL YOU?' https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/mcjou/article/view/288263
This article examines the psychological state of Angulimala, a figure from the Angulimala Sutta, who transformed from a murderer to an arahant, focusing on his mental evolution and the interpretation of the Buddha’s words, “I have stopped, when will you?” Drawing on the Pali Canon and its commentaries, the study employs psychological theories such as Cognitive Dissonance, Moral Disengagement, and Speech Act Theory to analyze his shift from distorted loyalty to violence and its cessation through verbal intervention. The findings reveal that Angulimala’s mind was dominated by his teacher’s influence, leading to a loss of identity, but the Buddha’s paradoxical statement triggered self-awareness and autonomous decision-making, resulting in redemption, acceptance of karmic consequences, and complete healing through Buddhist practice. This analysis highlights the power of words in altering behavior and integrates Buddhist philosophy with psychology, suggesting applications in modern psychotherapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness, to address dominated minds. The study underscores the significance of interdisciplinary approaches in understanding human potential for profound transformation.
สุรัตน์ หารวย, เด่นดวงดี ศรีสุระ , ชนฏ์พงศ์ เคลือศิริ Copyright (c) 2025 https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/mcjou/article/view/288263 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 BUDDHIST POLITICAL SCIENCE LEADERSHIP IN THE BUDDHADASA BHIKKHU PERSPECTIVE https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/mcjou/article/view/288265
The aims of this research were to 1) Study the concept of leadership according to Buddhadasa Bhikkhu from the perspective of Buddhist political science 2)Explore the attitude toward Buddhist-style leadership emphasizing morality as a guiding principle for society 3) Examine Buddhadasa Bhikkhu's views on leadership in organizing society through Buddhist methods and 4) Study the intentions of leaders in applying Buddhadasa Bhikkhu’s leadership concepts.
