This study employed a mixed-methods research approach, supported by qualitative methods. Data were collected from 30 elderly participants, aged 60 years and above, residing in Mueang District, Lampang Province. The intervention included a structured program involving Mandala-based meditative art activities designed to foster mindfulness, concentration, and inner peace.

The research found that:

The findings reveal that happiness, from a Buddhist perspective, is a state of mental contentment arising from fulfilled needs and wise reflection. Meditation art, particularly Mandala creation, serves as an effective medium for developing the fourfold cultivation (physical, moral, mental, and wisdom-based meditation). Participants showed significant improvements in affective and psychomotor domains, demonstrating enhanced emotional regulation, self-awareness, and sustained attention. The proposed model includes four key learning stages: 1) Introduction - stimulating interest and engagement, 2) Teaching - explaining the concept of Mandala and its spiritual significance, 3) Practice - guiding physical movement, meditation, and artistic expression, and 4) Conclusion - facilitating reflection, peer sharing, and evaluation. The study concludes that meditation art offers a meaningful and culturally grounded strategy for promoting holistic happiness among the elderly. This model has potential for broader application in community and policy-level initiatives aimed at active aging and mental well-being.
Phramaha Thanawut Yanasopano (Inthanon), Phrakhru Kovit Attawate, Phramaha Inthawong Issaraphanee Copyright (c) 2025 Panya https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/panya-thjo/article/view/283161 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Development of Learning Model of Artificial Intelligence Companion for The Elderly to Promote Media, Information, Technology, and Digital Skills https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/panya-thjo/article/view/282991
This research article aimed to: 1) create and assess the quality of an AI-based learning management model that is suitable for enhancing media, information, technology, and digital skills for the elderly; 2) study the effects of using the AI-based learning management model, which includes: 2.1) comparing the media, information, technology, and digital skills of the elderly after learning with the model against the 70% criterion; 2.2) studying the satisfaction of the elderly with the learning model. Data collection tools comprised documentary research, non-participant observation, and in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed using content and interpretive analysis, with data triangulation employed to ensure credibility.

The research findings indicate that

The factors leading to the student protests included the dissolution of the Future Forward Party, issues in government administration, demands for monarchical reform, the perpetuation of power by the NCPO, and underlying structural economic problems. The main objectives of the movement centered on constitutional reform for democratization, structural transformation, the promotion of freedom and equality, and the creation of forums for public debate through parliamentary mechanisms. Mass mobilization was primarily achieved by framing shared issues (the three core demands), utilizing social media and political memes, and organizing creative protest activities.

The student movement initially adopted nonviolent strategies before escalating tactics in response to state repression. These strategies included organizing gatherings along BTS and MRT transit lines, conducting flash mobs, holding creative events, and using social media for communication and coordination. Subsequently, the movement intensified its actions by staging overnight protests, employing leaderless protest models, and directly confronting law enforcement officers. In addition, the study found that the movement introduced various protest innovations, including the three-finger salute, rubber ducks, white ribbons, creative social media use, and themed activities such as the “Ham-Taro Run.”

Somchai Saenphumi, Somsak Samukkethum Copyright (c) 2025 Panya https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/panya-thjo/article/view/286203 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Model of Temples Development in the Ancient era Appearing in Cāmmadevivaṃsa Scriptures on Buddhist Integration https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/panya-thjo/article/view/283301
This research article aimed to 1) explore the patterns of temple development within ancient historical sites 2) examine the progression of temples within integrated Buddhist locations 3) propose temple development strategies based on the Cham Devi Vong principles. The Dhammayuttika Nikaya was founded by Vachirayan Bhikkhu (King Rama IV), who reorganized monastic education and disciplinary practices, creating a standardized system. This led to the spread of the sect to various regions, especially northeastern Thailand, through key meditation masters such as Phra Achan Sao Kantasilo and Phra Achan Mun Bhuridatta. Their efforts significantly revived rigorous meditation practice and monastic discipline. At the time, Nakhon Phanom had yet to establish a Dhammayuttika presence, and local monastic practices remained lax under the influence of traditional Lao customs. With the support of local leadership-particularly Phraya Sunthorn Thepphakitjalak, the provincial governor-monks of good conduct were selected to study under the guidance of the meditation masters. Around 1906 (B.E. 2449), they introduced Dhammayuttika practices into the province. This establishment not only introduced a new model of monastic discipline but also aligned the local religious structure with the modern state’s monastic administrative policies.
