There were three stages in this research: Phases 1 analysis of causal factors of smoking behavior in children and adolescent drug users. The sample consisted of 520 teen drug addicts who were treated in drug addict treatment center by randomly selected, Department of Medical Services. The instrument used was a questionnaire by rating scale. The reliability was 0.83 by the linear component analysis of causal factors of smoking behavior among children and adolescent drug users. Phase 2 the development of the learning activity model to reduce smoking cessation by the result of the research in the first phase to determine the form of activities. Analyze the pattern of activities to reduce smoking cessation behavior, synthesis of learning activity to reduce smoking cessation, and evaluate the quality of the synthesized activities by five experts. Phase 3 study the effects of learning activity model. The trial was administered to 30 children and adolescent drug users. The results of this study were as follows. The sample of 30 children and adolescents drug users was randomly sampled using a simple random sampling technique. The reliability was 0.82. Data were analyzed by means of standard deviation and t-test.
The research found that
1. The causal factors of smoking behavior among pediatric and adolescent drug patients were 1) Personal factors Self-Control behaviors affect smoking behavior. 2) Social factors Family relationship has the greatest impact on smoking behavior. 3) Environmental factors. It has been found that exemplary smoking behavior among family members and friends has the greatest impact on smoking behavior. In children and adolescent drug users, variable in the model can explain the variance of smoking behavior variable among children and adolescent drug users.
2. Development of an activity model to reduce smoking cessation behavior in children and adolescent drugs. The results of this research are as follows. Focus on the patients, children and adolescent drugs control self-control or self-directed. It was used as a determine in the formulation of learning activities to reduce and stop smoking cessation behavior consists of 8 activities as follow. 1) Setting smoking control targets, 2) finding managing, controlling treats to smoking 3) refusal skill, 4) coping skill, 5) avoiding repeat smoking, 6) self-reward planning when can smoking control be achieved, 7) smoking control and 8) planning for smoking habits.
3. The Score of reduce smoking cessation behavior in children and adolescent drug users after admission were higher than before the event.
