Main Article Content
Abstract
The research article entitled “The Presentation of Core Buddhist Teachings in Pasin Intarawong’s Dhamma-Based Documentary Books” aims to analyze the presentation of Buddhist principles in Pasin Intrawong’s dharma-based documentary books. The findings reveal that there are 6 forms of presenting Buddhist teachings; 1) presentation through explanation, which involves clarifying complex Buddhist terminology such as nirodhasamāpatti and ñāṇadassana to make the content easier to understand; 2) presentation through analogy, which compares abstract concepts like Dhamma with concrete and visible elements, or compares tangible elements with one another to enhance comprehension; 3) presentation through scientific studies or experiments related to the mind and meditation that directly affect the brain and health; 4) presentation through dialogue, using created characters in a question-and-answer (pucchā–visajjanā) format to explain each aspect of Dhamma until it becomes understandable; 5) presentation through the life of the Lord Buddha, offering historical examples of individuals in the Buddha’s time who practiced specific teachings to show the resulting causes and effects; and 6) presentation through the teachings or stories of noble monks (Ariya-Saṅgha), using their teachings and stories as examples to support explanations and answer questions related to core Buddhist principles.
