The Guidelines to Develop Life and Career Skills for Students under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Prakan

Abstract
The objectives of this study were to examine the present state, desirable state, needs, and guidelines for life and career skills development of students under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Prakan. This research was mixed method research, including quantitative and qualitative research. The research instruments were questionnaires to collect data from 381 samples and in-depth interviews to collect data from 5 samples. Statistics used in the study were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and PNImodified. The findings showed that the overall present state was at a moderate level. The overall desirable state was at a high level. The priority needs in life and career skills development of students under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Prakan were good relationships with others, followed by information technology, awareness and appreciation of oneself and others, analytical thinking, decision-making, and creative problem-solving, and emotional management and stress, respectively. The guidelines for students' life and career skills development under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Prakan were integrating life and career skills into learning activity plans.
