Impacts of Thai Outbound Tourism on Domestic Tourism Related Businesses

Abstract
Outbound tourism involves three phases of activities: before, during, and after the trip. These activities have an impact on domestic tourism related businesses. This research intends to study Thai outbound tourists’ expenditures involving three phases of activities. The results can then be used to explain impacts of tourists’ expenditures on domestic tourism related businesses in Thailand. It has been found that Thai outbound tourists’ spending was estimated at 114 billion baht. The other 213 billion baht was spent in foreign countries.Income multiplier of Thai outbound tourism is estimated to be 2.40.
