Creative Economy and Thailand’s International Trade

Abstract
The objectives of this study are threefold. Firstly, the relationship between
economic growth and international trade in creative goods and services is
empirically examined. Secondly, the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) indices
for both exports and imports are calculated to analyze the opportunities for trade
in creative goods and services between Thailand and the other ASEAN-5 countries.
And, thirdly, a review of existing free trade agreements related to Thailand’s
creative industries is presented. Basically, findings in this study point to the
importance of international trade in creative goods and service to Thailand.
