Abstract
This paper is aimed to study roles of creative economy in the aspect of
social and community development. Analyses are conducted on 2 bases, which are
area-base and product-base. Two cases of the study are Amphawa Floating Market
and ChaophayaAbhibhubejhr Foundation. Findings show that the most important
key factor in applying creative economy in social and community development is
the process and method in identifying “internal capitals” of the community and
locals those already exist and have potential to be newly created and added value.
These capitals will be “identities” as well as self-reflection of the community and
locals which are crucial factors to the success of sustainable social and community
development.
