Abstract

The Present research aims to 1) to study importance of the Mahachat tradition in Ubonratchatani province and Pakse-Champasak province in Lao 2) to study the social ethical Promotion stated in Mahachat tradition both of Ubonrathatani and Pakse, Lao.The Present research aims to 1) to study importance of the Mahachat tradition in Ubonratchatani province and Pakse-Champasak province in Lao 2) to study the social ethical Promotion stated in Mahachat tradition both of Ubonrathatani and Pakse, Lao.


It has been found that: in conclusion, the social ethical Promotion was the instructions for teaching the people in order to realizing the foulness and goodness, advantages and disadvantages, donation, precept, meditation as well as to respect the prestige of the Buddha. Further, the following groups of the Buddha’s teachings were not different in Ubonratchatani and Pakse, Lao, namely, faith, precept, Learning, munificence and wisdom that had been inscribed in the Mahachat tradition as the data taken from the interviewers. On the other hand, the faith described by PhraMalai had made the difference, for example, Buddhist in Pakse-Lao have participated and made merits in the said tradition more than the Buddhist at Tungkasem temple in Ubonratchatani crucially.
