Development Model of Management of Thai Monastic Education Concerning Dhamma and Pali Studies in the Sangha Administration Area 8

Abstract

The Research article was carried out on basis of the three following objectives: 1) to study the monastic educational administration per se related to Dhamma and Pali Studies of the Buddhist ecclesiastical education institutes in the monastic governing The Research article was carried out on basis of the three following objectives: 1) to study the monastic educational administration per se related to Dhamma and Pali Studies of the Buddhist ecclesiastical education institutes in the monastic governing area 8,2)to take a study of causal factors, that affects the monastic educational administration of Dhamma and Pali studies as well as 3) to make the developing model of the monastic educational administration of Dhamma and Pali studies and subsequently verify it.


The findings of the research are as follows:


1. The monastic educational administration of the Dhamma and Pali studies in the Buddhist monastic governing area 8, as a whole, has been found at the high mean level ( = 3.63) in the following domains: the curriculum, the community connection, the learning and instruction process, the organization management, the places and buildings, the educational measurement and evaluation, the learning and teaching technology and the educational budget. 


2. The causal factors affecting the monastic educational administration of the Dhamma and Pali studies in the monastic governing area 8, in terms of influence coefficients, were statistically significant at 0.01. As far as individual factors are concerned, the factors are statistically significant in the respective way: leadership of an administrator (0.591), external support (0.527), an instructor’s competencies (0.332) 4), management (0.293) and motives and motivations of students (0.112).


3. The developing model of the monastic educational administration of the Dhamma and Pali studies in the monastic governing area 8, consists of the 5 components, which are comprised of 17 details, covering 94 main points for the development strategy. 1) The development of leadership of the administrator consists of three componential elements made up of 15 issues. 2) The development of the external support consists of three componential elements made up of 20 issues. 3) The development of internal management consists of 4 componential elements made up of 26 issues. 4) The development of instructor’s competencies consists of three componential elements made up of 14 issues. 5) The development of motives and motivation of students consists of three componential elements made up of 15 issues. The componential elements of the developing model of the monastic educational administration of the Dhamma and Pali studies in the monastic governing area 8 have been agreed by 20 experts in their consistent opinion.
