Abstract

The research objectives are to study the teaching and learning management The research objectives are to study the teaching and learning management on an integrated Lanna local art and cultural preservation, to study the behaviors of teaching and learning management, and to interpret the lessons learned in the teaching and learning management on an integrated Lanna local art and cultural preservation.


The results of research found: the teaching and learning management on an integrated Lanna local art and cultural preservation revealed that the northern region of the nation, Lanna is abundant of colorful arts and cultures as well as the outstanding and unique folk wisdom available in the specific area. The scent of Lanna culture can be touched within the alive learning centers such as the graceful silverware at Srisupun temple, the wooden sculpture community along with Ban Tawaicanal, and the smile-clay molding at Ban Patan village. In the part of the behaviors of teaching and learning management, the researcher directly observed and discovered that the learners are proud to be part of Lanna cultural preservation, fully attended in learning and exchanging knowledge with folk scholars and got a chance in designing and producing a work piece. The interpretation of the lessons learned in the teaching and learning management on an integrated Lanna local art and cultural preservation can be summarized into 3 parts; 1) the learning center: the center is to promote the integrated Lanna local art and cultural preservation, 2) the Lanna folk wisdom: the knowledge and culture will be maintained and preserved creatively by setting the 12-month tradition in every educational level, and 3) the future: every level of institutional organization is going to play a vital role towards the instructional integration both in and out of the system as well as the informal education. The teachers act as coaches, creating the lively teaching and learning environment, emphasizing on skill training through doing activities in the creative community center, deeply realizing the values of their hometown and sincerely inheriting ancestors’ knowledge to next generation.
