Correlation between School Principal Good Governance Administration and Teacher Job Satisfaction in Schools under Khonkaen Primary Educational Service Area 1

Abstract

The research objectives were to study the correlation between school principal good governance administration and teacher job satisfaction in schools under KhonKaen primary educational service area 1. The sample of 310 respondents derived by stratified random sampling and simple random sampling consisted of teachers in schools under KhonKaen primary educational service area 1. The data collecting tool was a questionnaire with overall .98 reliability. The statistical package software was employed for analysis of percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient. The research objectives were to study the correlation between school principal good governance administration and teacher job satisfaction in schools under KhonKaen primary educational service area 1. The research findings are the following: 


1. The school principal good governance administration in schools under KhonKaen primary educational service area 1 as a whole and in detailed dimensions are at high level. The highest activity is rule of law following in descending order as morality, transparency, responsibility, efficiency and participation. 


2. Teacher job satisfaction in schools under Khonkaen primary educational service area 1 as a whole and in detailed dimensions are at high level. The first three highest dimensions of job satisfaction following in descending order are responsibility, respect, and relationship with colleagues and superiors. The lowest job satisfaction is job accomplishment.


3. The correlation between school principal good governance administration and teacher job satisfaction in schools under KhonKaen primary educational service area 1 as a whole is positive with .01 statistical significance and with high level (r = .85).
